Turning pain into purpose

The story behind Jordana's Rainbows

This is a topic you will see me blog about often because it is a big part of my life. Everyday I carry the loss of my daughter and every day I make a conscious effort to channel the immense pain into carrying Jordana’s legacy forward.

Let's get into it...

When you lose someone you love, especially a child, the grief can feel unbearable. But amidst the pain, we sometimes discover a purpose greater than ourselves—a way to honor their life and spirit. For me, that purpose has been Jordana's Rainbows Foundation, an organization co-founded with my husband to celebrate the legacy of our beautiful daughter, Jordana Fiorini.

Jordana passed away at just 10 years old after a short, unimaginable battle with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a rare and aggressive brain cancer with a 0% survival rate. She was only sick for four short, horrific months, but her impact lives on—and we are committed to spreading her goodness, hope, and  colorful rainbow spirit. Grief can often feel like an overwhelming weight, but channeling that pain into purpose gave us a path to healing. Through Jordana’s Rainbows Foundation, we work tirelessly to raise awareness for DIPG and provide support for other children and families facing critical illnesses.

What started as a way to honor Jordana has blossomed into a community filled with compassion, action, and connection. Our Rainbow Community @jordanasrainbows is what I’m most proud of. It’s a group of incredible supporters who have come together to create impact, shine light, and spread kindness in Jordana’s name.Losing Jordana shattered our hearts, but her life and love continue to inspire us.
